It certainly says Spring. Adding the broken egg is the special touch that makes this quilt so interesting. My painting teacher told us that every painting needs a "dog". Everyone likes a dog, right? And your eye goes right to the dog in a painting, so add something that is a "dog" to your painting to make it interesting for the viewer. You did it with your broken egg.
