It's A Top!

I spent all week trying to get this top done in between outings. I put the last border on the Orange Crush quilt this morning, yay! It took me forever to make up my mind whether or not to add the pieced border that Bonnie used, and I finally decided I liked just a plain border better. I also wanted to include an orange border in between the black and the red; but my husband vetoed that idea, and in the end I had to agree with him. So I'm binding it off with the orange, good or bad!

I've ordered a Bubbles pantograph to use for the quilting, which seems right to me, considering that the quilt is named after a carbonated beverage. If I can get the pantograph quick enough, I'd sure like to get the quilting done by the end of the week, but I go back to work Monday so there are no guarantees.

I'm not much for "orange" in a quilt but I like this one! Very colorful!! I do like the borders and an orange binding would just set it off nicely!

It turned out great! That sure is a lot of piecing - glad I didn't take that one on!

Hi Sue,, You Orange Crush quilt turned out great. I really want to do this one & hopefully will start after Christmas. And as fast as I seem to get things finished lately I may even have it finished by, oh 2015 or so! Happy Quilting.

My Orange Crush blocks have been stewing for quite a while. I wasn't sure I liked the look of it. Once I saw yours, I decided that I should go ahead and get it done. After all, I had everything cut out and all but the setting triangles sewn. Your quilt inspired me to start it up again! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Fantastic finish!!! I know that quilt has LOTS of little pieces! The borders match perfectly - I always agonize over borders a bit too and ask DH's advice. Sometimes a 2nd opinion (not so close to the project) is a huge help.
Cheers!

Sue,
Your Orange Crush quilt looks great. I do like your border choices. I still need to assemble my quilt. Hope my quilt is as pretty as your quilt.

Viewing your quilt I thought to myself, "Oh, Happy Days!". Just in case you need a new name for your quilt. LOL. Gorgeous!

The plain border does so much to set off the scrappy middle ... sort of pulls it all together ... you've mad a wonderful quilt!

I made this quilt too and did add an orange boarder. I'm not happy with it but I'm too lazy to take it off. Yours looks great!
